Printing Technology

The Epson L6490 utilizes PrecisionCore™ Print Head technology, which includes 400 black nozzles and 128 nozzles per color for fast, high-quality printing. With a minimum droplet size of 3.3 pl and Variable-Sized Droplet Technology, it ensures precise, sharp text and vibrant colors. This advanced technology allows for a print resolution of up to 4,800 x 1,200 dpi, delivering exceptional print quality for both text and graphics.

Print Speed

The L6490 achieves fast printing speeds with 37 ppm monochrome and 23 ppm color on plain paper (75 g/m²). For duplex printing, it offers 7.5 pages per minute (ppm) in monochrome and 5 ppm in color. First-page-out times are quick, at just 7 seconds for monochrome and 11 seconds for color, making it an efficient solution for high-demand environments.

Cartridge and Ink

This printer uses pigment ink, which ensures durable and water-resistant prints. The ink cartridges come in large capacities: 127 ml for black and 70 ml for cyan, yellow, and magenta, reducing the frequency of cartridge replacements. The black yield is approximately 13,300 pages, while the color yield is around 5,200 pages, offering excellent cost efficiency for high-volume printing.

All-in-One Functions

The L6490 is a versatile all-in-one printer that supports print, scan, copy, and fax functions, making it a complete solution for office tasks. It includes a 35-page automatic document feeder (ADF) for efficient scanning and copying, and it supports both black-and-white and color faxing at speeds of up to 33.6 kbps.

Paper Handling

With a 250-sheet paper tray and support for automatic duplex printing, the L6490 is well-suited for handling high-volume print jobs. It supports a wide variety of paper formats, including A4, A5, A6, Letter, Legal, and multiple envelope sizes. The rear paper path makes it easy to feed special media, while the output tray can hold up to 30 sheets.

Connectivity

The L6490 offers Wi-Fi, USB, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi Direct connectivity, ensuring flexible integration with different devices. You can easily print from PC, Mac, and mobile devices, and the printer supports mobile and cloud printing services such as Epson Connect, Apple AirPrint, and Google Cloud Print.

Energy Efficiency

Designed with energy efficiency in mind, the L6490 consumes only 12 watts during standalone copying and as little as 0.9 watts in sleep mode. The printer is equipped with a TEC (Typical Energy Consumption) of 0.14 kWh/week, making it an environmentally friendly option for regular use.
