Printing Technology
The Epson L6290 uses PrecisionCore™ Print Head technology, featuring a nozzle configuration of 400 nozzles for black and 128 nozzles per colour. It employs pigment black and dye colour inks, offering crisp black text and vibrant colour prints. With a maximum printing resolution of 4800 x 1200 dpi, this printer produces detailed documents and high-quality photos. The minimum droplet size is 3.3 pl, with variable-sized droplet technology to optimize print quality.
Print Speed and Performance
The L6290 provides ISO print speeds of 15.5 ppm for monochrome and 8.5 ppm for colour. It is designed for fast, high-volume printing with 33 pages per minute for monochrome and 20 pages per minute for colour on plain paper. It is also capable of printing a 10 x 15 cm photo in 69 seconds on Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper. With automatic duplex printing, it achieves 6.5 pages per minute (ppm) for monochrome and 4.5 ppm for colour on A4-sized paper.
Scanning and Copying
The L6290 offers high-resolution scanning with an optical resolution of 1200 x 2400 dpi and single-sided scan speeds of 1.5 msec/line for black and 7 msec/line for colour at 300 dpi. The printer supports various output formats, including BMP, JPEG, TIFF, and PDF. It also features automatic document feeding (ADF), with a capacity of up to 30 pages for quick and easy multi-page scanning or copying.
Faxing
With walk-up black and white and colour fax capabilities, the L6290 supports error correction mode and fax transmission speeds of up to 33.6 kbps, transmitting pages in approximately 3 seconds per page. It also includes 60 speed dial contacts, a 100-page memory, and useful fax functions such as PC Fax, auto redial, address book, and broadcast fax.
Paper Handling
The printer features a single paper tray with a 250-sheet capacity, as well as the ability to load up to 20 photo sheets. It supports various paper formats, including A4, A5, A6, B5, and Envelopes (DL, C6, No. 10). The L6290 also supports automatic duplex printing and borderless printing for versatile media handling. The output tray holds up to 30 sheets, making it ideal for moderate-volume print jobs.
Connectivity and Mobile Printing
The L6290 offers flexible connectivity options, including USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and Wi-Fi Direct, allowing you to easily connect to your network or print wirelessly.
